JOB SUMMARY:
The incumbent will be primarily responsible for all system administration duties associated with enterprise systems management software. Incumbent will be expected to manage the systems management software, perform patch and software distributions, manage security configuration of systems, provide reports for management use, demonstrate system health and compliance based on pre-defined standards and routine maintenance.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experience in Windows Server 2008 Administration, VMware ESX4.0/5.0, IIS, MSCS, Microsoft cluster administration in L3 level support.
Installation, Maintenance and Repair of the systems management tool
Implements systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the systems management software
Installation, Maintenance and Repair of the management agents
Monitors usage and performance
Troubleshoots server, software and hardware issues
Assists with recommending, scheduling and implementing system hardware and/or software upgrades or repairs
Research, document and articulate the design of the environment through detailed design document and implementation plans.
Other related duties assigned as needed
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of multiple operating systems and related utilities and hardware
Skill to effectively analyze and solve problems
Skill in software installation and maintenance
Ability to work independently as well as with a team
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors, clients and public
Familiarity and experience with virtualization technologies - VMWARE, Hyper-V.
Familiarity and experience with patch management tools and processes - SCCM, BladeLogic et.al.
Familiarity and experience with scripting - VB, powershell, perl, et. al.
Work Location: Bangalore/ Gurgaon
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience as required for the specific job level, Related Certifications
Willing to work in 24/7 with rotational shifts
