Role - Test Analyst_Derivs & Docs Test Automation Engineer

Location – Pune, India

Main Function

Candidate will be responsible for the testing of TRIDENT applications which is part of Derivatives and documentation. The programme is the re-architecture of the existing trade documentation function for all derivatives business. This is an in-house build and supports multiple phases by asset class.

Main Duties (Automation & Manual Testing):

· Develop comprehensive automation test strategy, test plan and test cases to test integration services across TRIDENT platform.
· To design and develop automation frameworks (hybrid, data driven, keyword driven frameworks) using QTP, automating scripts, builds, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions and apply appropriate automation technologies independently.
· Providing support independently to existing QTP framework (data driven/hybrid) and modification of scripts and automating the existing manual sanity/regression suite with SQL server as back end.
· Integrate the test suites into the test management system (QC & JIRA), QTP and custom test harnesses.
· Consolidation of manual regression test packs and transforming in to the automation suite.
· Work with business stakeholders, Business Systems Analysts and Developers to ensure quality delivery of software
· Follow quality management best practices and processes to bring consistency and completeness to integration service testing
· Establish and maintain processes to support and grow integration practices

• Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents.

· Review and analysis of test basis documentation including business requirements, scenarios, user stories, service contracts and technical specifications to create effective test conditions and test scripts
· Ensure traceability between test scripts and test basis documentation is documented.
· Carries out detailed testing preparation through the creation of test scenarios and cases utilizing test specification techniques (black box and white box) using available test basis and defined quality characteristics in accordance with the test level test plan.
· Liaise directly with integration services project and business teams.

Technical Skills Required

· Expertise in developing and implementing automation frameworks such as hybrid, data driven and key driven using QTP and SQL as back end.
· Proficient in QTP & VB Scripting and troubleshooting programming errors
· Experience in SQL, Quality Centre/Test Director.
· Experience in writing and executing integration test plans and test scenarios
· Experience working with XML and creating test data.
· 1+ years of writing and validating unit tests
· Experience in developing test harnesses
· 1 to 2 years of functional testing experience.
· Demonstrated experience with data validation testing on large complex projects using SQL queries.
· Work Experience in QC and JIRA.

Professional Experience Requirements

· 5 to 6 years of experience in automation and manual testing both.
· Ability to learn functionality fast.
· Ability to do detailed analysis and asks questions from BA / Dev using functional and Design specs as the base documents.
· Ability to highlight risks, showstopper issues to stakeholders timely.
· Able to handle pressure and flexible enough to work during SGP/London hours when required.
· Ability to push back to PM’s and BA’s for tasks/situations not relevant from QA perspective.
· Experience with Investment Banking applications desirable.
· Experience with automation tools other than QTP is desirable.
· Demonstrated experience with analyzing technical requirements and design
· Should be self-starter and able to work with minimal guidance
· Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills is a must for this position.
· Experience working on various testing methodologies such V model and agile.
· Ability to manage change effectively
· Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguous requirements
· Familiarity with software development QA metrics
