Java/J2EE Developer

Bend, Oregon

Duration – 6 months

 

Provides Java, J2EE and System i integration expertise to a high performance software development team developing cutting-edge customer service solutions.  The position requires a minimum of five years experience building distributed enterprise systems in Java with an emphasis on implementing SOA technologies and building reusable business services.

 

Required Skills: 

·         5 years of Java and J2EE experience building web applications

·         3+ years deploying applications on WebLogic, WebSphere or JBoss application servers

·         2+ years experience developing and supporting enterprise Java applications utilizing Hibernate or another ORM layer

·         2+ years Web Service experience using SOAP or REST

·         Hands on experience with DB2 and the System is preferred

·         Experience developing UI components utilizing JSF or GWT libraries is preferred

·         Experience with Scrum and other agile practices

·         Extensive SQL and ORM experience

·         Full life cycle experience on enterprise software or commercial  software projects

·         Experience with leveraging open source components and technologies

·         Ability to meet individual deadlines and team goals

·         Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, while effectively focusing on priority issues

 

Education and / or Experience

BSCS or equivalent experience

 

Travel:

 Occasional travel is essential to performance of duties, and a maximum of 20% can be expected for some assignments
