Urgently looking out for Application & Database operation (Technical Lead) - Singapore

We are urgently looking out for Application & Database Operation (Technical Lead) for one of our Clients based in Singapore. ROLE: Responsible for managing/supervising application and database administration and operation to ensure application and database availability to business. RESPONSIBILITIES Application & Database Strategic Planning & Security • Define & Enforce Application & Database Security Policy/Rules & Access Control Policy • Enforce Corporate Guidelines for Project Initiation, Execution and Closure. • Keep abreast of industrial & technological trends and updates, develop long term plan (roadmap) for implementation Application Development & Implementation • Lead implementation of Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, KPI Dashboards and Reporting applications from User Requirements, Application Evaluation to Operations Support. • Work with vendors on application/product evaluation & solutioning. Application & Database Operation & Maintenance • Strategize and implement proactive measures to ensure robustness and performance of application and database. Create process for and manage capacity planning. • Provide recommendations to Application Team in Database usage & tuning for performance optimization. • Responsible for Change Management: Work with Application/Operation team in preparation of Application Object migration/rollout and manage System DBA/Operations to implement the requests • Manage the day-to-day Application and Database Support & Operations to ensure that Service Level Agreements are met. Develop scripts for monitoring/alerts, recovery and execution • Define & manage routine tasks performed by Application/Database Administrators • Provide advice to Operations/Application teams and related parties to resolve application database related issues • Maintain up-to-date Application and Database related documentation REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Technical Skills: • Experience as an administrator for Oracle, MS-SQL, and Sybase database • Experience in ERP (IFS) application administration tools. • Experience in MES application • Well versed in scripting: SQL, Java, C++ • Experience in ERP implementation and maintenance. • Added advantage to have experience on JBoss and Apache Web Server. • At least 5 years technical experience.
