Skills and Job Requirements: • You will be responsible to administer large complex databases for our customers. • You will be required to perform tasks like - Database design and support, Performance tuning and security Management, C apacity planning (Identify the usage pattern and suggest improvement in performance) and Change Management. • Fault Management and Data Management. • Experience in developing Processes for data backup and restoration and SQL Plus, PL/SQL and shell scripting is required. • Should have excellent communication, both written and oral and the ability to network. Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks while under pressure Roles and Responsibilities: • Proven Oracle Database Administration experience on Oracle 8i, 9i & 10g Experience of managing multiple database on large systems. • Experience of managing Oracle database on multiple platforms lik e... AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, Linux, Windows. • Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service. • Practical experience on Oracle high availability setup li ke RAC, Data Guard...etc. Practical experience in database backup & recovery using RMAN. • Experience of working in a team that delivers a high availability service. • Experience on other Oracle pro ducts like.. . Oracle AS, OCS, E-Biz suite will be preferred. • Experience of other database systems, preferably SQL Server. Oracle Certification, preferably OCP on 10/11g.
