Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 12 months
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Strong development skills 5-7 years of experience of Java or Python
· For connectivity up and downstream, Java is needed.
· Should know how to code to RESTful services.
· The data is stored in standard Oracle databases.
· The risk system is Python (not required).
· Good at starting a project without a set structure in place.
· Experience in understanding data flows.
· Ability to analyze where the project is at and what strategic or tactical tools will be needed to complete the project.
· Strong spreadsheet and database skills to draft solutions.
Desired Skills:
A good candidate would have
· Experience with Risk Systems.
· Ideally Commodities knowledge, but will be considered with a Derivative, Fixed Income or Equity background.
· FIX or FPML experience is a plus
· SQL Experience highly recommended.
· Non-Relational database experience is a plus (ex. HBase).
· Oracle and / or Sybase experience is a plus.
Schooling Experience: Completed undergrad of college.
