Job Description

◄ Work Experience in SQL Server 2000, 2005 and SQL Server 2008.
◄ Should be willing to work in shifts.
◄ Should have strong communication skills and experience in handling bridge calls.
◄ Min 7+ Years Exp
◄ Certified in SQL Server 2005 / 2008.

◄ Should have Knowledge about the internals of SQL Server Architecture.
◄ Should have extensively worked on Proven expertise in detecting and troubleshooting SQL SERVER related CPU, I/O, Disk Space and other resource contention.
◄ Should have extensively worked on Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server.
◄ Should have extensively worked on High Availability (HA) Features like Replication, Clustering and Log Shippings
◄ Should possess data-driven troubleshooting and good at providing RCA documents

◄ Must be able to handle challenging issues in the environment ranging from Blocking Issues to Database Corruptions.
◄ Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
◄ Expert experience in implementing operational automation.

◄ Should exhibit willingness in suggesting process improvements and technical re-architecturing apart from providing fix to issues being encountered in day-to-day activities.
◄ Documentation skills for processes and procedures
◄ Knowledge of 3rd party DBA tools and applications ( e.g redgate, Tivoli,etc ) would be an added advantage
◄ Knowledge in a scripting language like Powershell, VBScript would be an added advantage.
◄ knowledgable in writing queries involving, Stored proc, Triggers, etc would be an added advantage.
◄ Experience in ITIL would an added advantage.
