Should you be intersted in applying please send your resume to cv@verdureconsulting.com with CTC details ----------------------------------- Job Description: Job3 : Senior Software Engineer Domain: Telecom Billing/Financial Software/Business Intelligence/Analytics Experience: 5+ years of experience Required competency; · Backup & restore · SQL Tuning/performance tuning · Expert in DBA/maintenance tasks · Sybase Multiplex · Proficient knowledge in database objects tuning for optimal performance. · Sybase Certified administrator is preferred. · Expert in installing, Maintaining Records, Backups, Recovery of Databases, Monitoring Resources, Users/Login Control, Proficient in Performance Tuning. · Good knowledge in Replication Server installation, maintenance. · Monitoring server & DB usage. Preferred: System Test skills Shell script Linux OS understanding Telecom Charging & Billing systems test experience. ----------------------------------------- · All positions based in Chennai. Should be ready to join on or before 30 days after selection. · Expecting strong team player with good communication skills with good sense of ownership. · All positions should have at least 60% with full-time degree of B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech from reputed institute. · Junior positions are expected to be completely cross-functional, where the person executes the roles of designer, implementer & tester. · Senior positions must have experienced atleast 1 or 2 complete SDLCs, must be willing to mentor junior people, take up responsibility for team delivery. · All positions needs RDBMS knowledge & preferably product experience. · The depth of knowledge that is expected in the various areas would depend on experience of candidate · We believe that sound conceptual understanding of java/ other relevant domain as applicable mentioned in this job description and fundamental programming skills are more important than knowledge of latest/new technologies · We expect hands-on experience and not skin-deep/top-level understanding · The candidate will be asked to solve a programming problem and the solution will be evaluated for (a) simple & extensible design (b) design performance considerations · The candidate will be asked to debug a programming problem. He/She would be evaluated on the step-wise isolation techniques he employs.
