EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems or other related field. Masters degree is highly desirable.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / ABILITIES REQUIRED

• 3 to 10 years of experience in designing and developing complex Internet systems.
• 3 to 5+ years of development experience with the following technologies: ASP.NET (2.0/3.5), C#, VB.NET, Webservices, AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML, Relational Databases (Oracle or MS SQL Server 2000-2008).
• 2+ years of experience implementing and supporting world-class Internet e-commerce solutions
• Working knowledge of object oriented programming techniques for design, construction, testing and implementation of project requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting, and decision making skills.
• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiar with various software development methodologies (e.g. SCRUM, Agile, rapid prototyping, etc.) and when to apply the methodologies and their functions within a development environment.
• Ability to work independently in the development and implementation of major systems.
• Leverage experience, industry knowledge/best practices, and own personal judgment to accomplish goals.
• Creativity and the ability to "think outside the box" are required.
• The Software Engineer - Internet will primarily focus on implementing and supporting new strategic Internet solutions within the Harland Clarke environment including our new e-commerce platform.
• Harland Clarke is looking for highly qualified individuals with Internet application development experience utilizing .NET centered technologies (ASP.NET, C#, VB, NHibernate, Visual Studio 2008, Team Foundation Server, etc...).
• All India based employees will be working as a team with U.S. based employees. Frequent contact will be required and may occur at various times of the day to accommodate time zone differences (nights and weekends). Flexibility in work schedules and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing are required.
• All India based employees may be required to travel to U.S. based facilities for knowledge transfer and/or project specific needs. Flexibility to travel and obtain appropriate passports, visas, etc. may be required.
