Main Function

Work with Development Manager to design and deliver high quality C# code for the Equity Derivatives area.

Main Duties

Delivers the functionality requested by the Development Manager. The following is included:
• Rapidly learn BARCAP applications.
• Rapidly learn the Investment Banking domain, if not already a strength.
• Provide input on high level design of solutions.
• Demonstrate ownership of deliveries from start to finish.
• Review peer designs and implementations.
• Low level design of solution.
• Coding and unit testing of the solution.
• Work with testers to verify the solution.
• Rework defects and take part in defect analysis.
Person Requirements

Qualifications /education:
Essential
• A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Management or related discipline.
Preferred
• An appropriate combination of education and directly related experience may satisfy this requirement.
Experience required:
Essential
• More than 5 years development of good OO solutions predominately in C#.
• SQL (Oracle, SQL server or Sybase).
• OO Design.
• MS Visual studio .Net.
• Experience of enterprise source control tool, perforce preferred.
• Nunit or other automated unit test tool.
• .NET studio 2+ libraries.
Preferred
• Equity Derivatives knowledge.
• Exposure to messaging systems.
• Exposure to event based enterprise systems.
• Profiling and performance experience.
