Overall Job Purpose
Senior Test Analyst will be working with Client On-boarding (COB) IT teams across New York, London, Singapore and Pune, responsible for understanding the business requirements, designing and writing the functional use cases for the next generation design of Client Life-Cycle Management (CLM) platform. This role will be responsible for analyzing requirements (regulatory, operational, IT), current processes, data, workflows and rules engine that are sourced from multiple internal and vendors systems.
Key Accountabilities & approximate time split (%)
This is a hands-on role that requires extensive experience in testing financial and regulatory applications. Responsibilities include:
§ Developing a good understanding of the Client On-boarding Business and System(s) under test
§ Fully understand the project requirements and quickly provide effort estimates
§ Working knowledge of KYC, AML, Dodd-Frank, FATCA and EDD regulatory requirements in the regions (North America, Asia PAC, EMEA)
§ Design and document test cases / scripts based on the functional specifications
§ Document test procedures, test steps and expected results to ensure maximum test coverage
§ Adhere to the project testing schedules, and flag immediately if there is a risk of slippage
§ Setup and execute test plan and test cases independently or via designated test management tool
§ Record test results and prepare test summary reports
§ Report and track defects in the issue tracking system
§ Prepare & distribute daily/weekly status reports
§ Continuous identification of opportunities for improving the team and/or project’s testing process and test efficiency, including test automation
§ Able to work independently and perform responsibilities under minimal supervision

· Essential
- 5 - 7 years of testing experience primarily on backend services and database servers with strong and demonstrable capability in troubleshooting and root cause analysis before raising a defect.
- Experienced in writing Test Plan/Strategy for complicated technical and functional projects.
- Proven capability in testing Unix/Linux and Perl/Shell systems
- Strong knowledge in testing batch driven applications developed using Perl and SQL databases and scheduler tool technologies (e.g. Autosys).
- Adopt a rigorous, quantitative approach to measuring and delivering software quality
- Work closely with developers, business stakeholders and act as an integral part of the software development team using an iterative development process.
· Preferred
- Experience in testing Client on-boarding or Client & Account Ref-Data applications
- Development background is preferred with exposure to SQL.
- Experience testing Industry standard Databases
