Application Support (C++, UNIX)   A vacancy exists within the Global Payments and International Branch Technology organization (GP&IBT) to work on the department's Desktop and Mid-range applications. The position is primarily focused on the support and maintenance of applications for the Bank's treasury wholesale business across the globe. Active engagement and contributions in new projects and ad hoc responsibility for special projects would be expected of this position. Responsibilities ·       Application problem determination for production issues and business queries – This would be a hands-on active problem and incident management role expert level 2 and level 3 levels. ·       Provide ad-hoc design, analysis and code fix support as part of the day to day support team for urgent business issues and enhancement work requests. ·       Must be willing to go on overnight support (management escalation and technical support) + weekend support/management oversight responsibilities as required. ·       Must be able to manage production issues hands on – on desktop platforms and applications where there are resource gaps. ·       Continually challenge the team and look for ways to improve system stability including monitoring opportunities, bug fixes, and application changes. ·       Analysis, Coding, Testing and Integration of emergency fixes. ·       Application monitoring, proactive management of potential issues, capacity management and ability to manage the environments end to end. Requirements ·         3 to 6years of Industry experience with 2 to 3year of application support experience preferably in Banking and related high pressure environment but other industries would also be considered. - Essential ·         Good understanding of development playing a key role in support and delivery, client/server technology and business contingency/Disaster recovery solutions – Essential ·         Knowledge on midrange/desktop systems ( Unix, C/C++) – Essential ·         Use of Connect: Direct and MQ – preferred

Mainframe Application Support   The position is primarily focused on the support and maintenance of applications for the Bank's treasury wholesale business across the globe. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing production support and maintenance of mainframe applications on the GBS platform and number of ancillary products and applications related to GBS.   Responsibility ·       Application problem determination for production issues and business queries – This would be a hands-on active problem and incident management role expert level 2 and level 3 levels ·       Provide ad-hoc design, analysis and code fix support as part of the day to day support team for urgent business issues and enhancement work requests ·       Participate in Real Time problem management conference calls and help to steer towards a swift resolution of issues ·       Must be able to manage production issues hands on – on mainframe platforms and applications where there are resource gaps ·       Close liaison with change management, the business community, technical groups within Bank of America globally and external vendors ·       Manage business queries regarding business as usual topics ·       Analysis, Coding, Testing and Integration of emergency fixes    Requirements: ·       6 to 7years of Industry experience with at least 4 years of application support experience preferably in banking and related high pressure environment but other industries would also be considered. - Essential ·       Good understanding of development playing a key role in support and delivery, client/server technology and business contingency/Disaster recovery solutions – Essential ·       More than 4 years hands-on experience (demonstrable formal development, bug fix and code enhancement experience) in: COBOL,JCL,IMS DB, IMS DC(basic concepts) ·       Demonstrable experience in COBOL/IMS code analysis and debugging. ·       Demonstrable experience in: Mainframe Express, VM & Source manager. ·       A solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle – Essential ·       Excellent spoken and written English, clear oral communication skills.  Must be willing and able to express new ideas, concerns and opinions directly to wider team in team meetings via teleconference.

Cognos Support Resource: (Experience 3 to 4 yrs) Technical Skills: ·       IBM COGNOS 8.4 products including Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Framework manager, Administration and Power play Transformer. **Must Have Power Play transformer(Cube) and Analysis Studio** ·       Oracle 10g Database. ·       Good in data warehousing concepts. ·       Good to have .mdl scripting but not mandatory. Soft Skills: Excellent communication skill – written and oral. Proven ability to work independently or on a team as required. Good to have Finance projects background but not mandatory.   Requirement: ·       Development experience of at least 2 years in Cognos 8 BI Report/Analysis/Query studio and Framework manager and power play transformer ·       Demonstrated expertise in complex report development(This helps in understanding/troubleshooting complex reports) ·       Demonstrated expertise in framework manager( This helps in understanding our framework models) ·       Cube development in power play transformer and Analysis studio.( this is IMPORTANT and MANDATORY) ·       Experience in supporting COGNOS projects for at least 1 Year ·       Complex scheduling of COGNOS reports ·       Strong SQL skills ·       Excellent problem solving skills
