Hiring Specification Ø  Java development skills (Java, Log4j, Eclipse, JBoss, Servlet, JMS) Ø  Experience in developing Distributed Java Applications Ø  Automation testing tools such JUnit, TESTNG, fitnesse Ø  Hibernate which is an open source Java persistence framework. It supports object relational mapping and query databases using HQL and SQL. Ø  Spring framework Ø  Design patterns Ø  JNDI Ø  Web services such as SOAP, Axis2, apache Ø  XML processing tools such as XSLT, JDOM, SAXON, Xerces etc. (this skill may be more specific for Java platform team than services) Ø  Knowledge of memory management tools such as Jprobe, SVMON, etc. Ø  Configuration Management tools such as Subversion etc. Ø  Build tools such as Ant, continuous Integration build systems such as CruiseControl etc. Ø  Agile approach to software development based on SCRUM Detailed Job Description: The following are tasks are expected to be performed by the candidate:       Review and provide comments/feedback on feature requirements       Develop and/or review Feature Design       Implement the coding and conduct unit and multi-unit testing       Automate as appropriate both unit and acceptance testcases       Assist Quality Assurance with their testing of the system       Implement and test modification requests (MRs). Skill Sets / Qualifications The candidate must have a very strong technical background with emphasis on real time systems, and ability to work on highly complex software system. The candidate must have strong programming skills in server side Java for distributed applications using Java J2SE 1.6, servlet programming and experience working in a multi-threaded environment. The candidate must have a solid understanding of Object Oriented design principles and be familiar with Eclipse. Knowledge of C++ is desirable along with knowledge of computer networking with emphasis on mobile networks and SS7 and SIP. In addition knowledge of Agile development methodology is desirable. The candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team and must have very good communication skills.
